Ranch Weddings

We at Blush Events Austin have recently planned and coordinated a ranch wedding. While they can be a lot of fun, there are lots of things to consider when planning an outdoor wedding or special event. First of all, there is that thing called "weather" which must be taken into account. The weather here in central Texas can be tricky at best. The temperatures can range from lows in the 30's to highs in the 80's on the same day. Therefore, you must be prepared to have all your bases covered. First of all, we require a tent to be rented for all spaces that do not include an indoor facility which can house the total guest count. Some cities require a permit for tents as well. A site visit must be undertaken to plan where the tent will go, taking into account such things as slope of the grounds and possibility of flooding with heavy rains. We ask our clients to be flexible with an inclement weather plan and understand that the comfort and safety of their guests and our team of vendors is of the utmost importance.

There is a lot of planning which goes into a ranch wedding, as most likely everything will have to be rented: tables, chairs, ceremony seating, bars, signage, lighting, linens and even possibly a dance floor. The caterers chosen may have to prepare the food off-site if there is no prep kitchen on the premises.

A ranch wedding or special event is a large undertaking, considering all the factors involved, but if you have your heart set on one, be sure and hire a planner who has some prior knowledge of all that is involved so that you and your guests will have a fun-filled, stress-free day!
